This stone built village pub still has two separate rooms served by a central bar counter. I went in the public bar to the left, but the lounge on the right was where all the locals were congregated. The choice of beers was limited to two from the Marstons stable - the fact that I went for the Hobgoblin Gold suggests that the other was something that I couldn't countenance drinking, because I normally swerve "gold" beers as being too sweet for my taste; sure enough, on checking my pump clip photo it was Wainwright.

The Church Inn is a small stone built pub that is on a quiet street off the A6.
Once inside i went in a very nice room that had an olde worlde feel to it,the room had small tables and chairs and had a nice homely feel to it.
When i visited this pub it was a Kimberley tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Kimberley bitter which was a very nice drink, the other beer was Kimberley mild.
I quite liked this pub and it was worth the walk from the main A6.
