David Ross left this review about Sinbads

The Pirates' Bar on the ground floor and the Captain's Lounge on the upper one continue the nautical theme of what seems to be Dunoon's number one nightspot. In the absence of a dedicated disco/nightclub, the Captain's fulfils that function and stays open until about 3.00 a.m. Being of a more middle-aged persuasion, I confined my drinking to the Pirates' Bar, which was itself very busy and lively and is open until 1.00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Fortunately, it's a commodious enough bar, with lots of seating and standing room and a pool table in a side room. While it's one of the more expensive pubs in town, with Belhaven Best selling at £3.30 a pint, the prices are still reasonable by Scottish standards. Tennent's, Carling and Stella Artois lagers and Blackthorn cider are also on draught. If you're looking for crowds, bright lights and loud music, this is the place to go.
