Will Larter left this review about Isle of Harris Inn

Standing a little way out of the village, this pub is worth the short walk. At the time of my visit there was one hand pump on the bar, and this was serving Caledonian Deuchars IPA. However, a few days later I found myself with a pint-shaped hole in my schedule when waiting for the ferry to Skye, so popped in again and saw a second hand pump being fitted to the bar. The second beer was going to be Loch Ness Brewery's Redness. They also do a selection of bottled ales, from independent Scottish breweries including Loch Ness, at £3.75 to drink in or just £2.75 to take away.

The lounge bar, accessed by a central door at the top of the steps from the car park, is very smart with a central bar - the hand pumps are on the right hand side and not immediately apparent. The public bar has a separate side entrance from the street and there is no connecting door, except for bar staff. Most tables are for eating, but there is an area of sofas and a low table by the window and the artificial fire. The pool table is in the public bar. The beer was in very good condition and my only regret was being a day or two early for the second hand pump.
