Busy (but not uncomfortably so) when I visited at around 11am on a Monday morning in June, with a mix of young and older people in. Outdoor seating to the front made for a nice sun trap, though I elected to sit indoors and soak up the ambience.

Two banks of hand pulls atop the bar, and the two guest ales I sampled were in good nick. Service was friendly. Toilets were clean. All ground level so no hiking experience required to visit the toilets. Indoors is fairly open plan but a number of booths do help to break it up a bit.

I liked this one and I will likely be back.

A bit of effort has been made in here given it’s a shop conversion, and of note is a lovely ecclesiastical-styled bar back and a silver embossed ceiling dado. Interior broken in half lengthways by a line of booths. Just two guest ales on though quality was excellent, my Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted was an easy NBSS 4. Rammed on early Saturday evening (I had the last table available) and rightly so. A good Spoons.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Jolly Tars (JD Wetherspoon)

Relatively new 'spoons in a rather anonymous converted shop set behind an outdoor seating area on the wide pavement. However, the interior is much more appealing, with a feature fireplace, decorative bar-back, a mix of furniture (including some booths filing the spaces between some of the central columns), etc. Also had a good selection of nine different beers from the two banks of five handpumps, including White Witch and Witch's Cauldon (£2.39) from Moorhouse's and several other less usual brews from further afield.

As noted below the Jolly Tars is a shop conversion but a more recent one and they've made an effort to make it a bit more interesting. It is an open plan square room with two odd looking enclosures in the middle. It's on the expensive side for a JDW with standard guest ale price of £2.59 and the food a bit dearer than average.
The ten hand pumps had one unused, Doom Bore doubled up, Ruddles, Cumberland Great Corby Stout, Dunscar Blissful Blonde, Moorhouse White Witch, Thwaites Lancaster Bomber, Burton Bridge Porter and Phoenix Wobbly Bob. I went for the Blissful Blonde (£2.59) which was in good nick. Despite the slightly higher prices than usual I thought this was a good Spoons. It's GBG 2017 listed.

A fairly decent Wethers. Its an open plan square basically with the usual Wethers fixtures. 10 handpumps on the bar and, today at least, a decent selection. Lots of wood panelling and 2 little booths in the middle of the pub.

A short walk from Cleveleys tram stop, the Jolly Tars is a modern Wetherspoons pub, opening back in 2011 in a former Kwiksave store. The pub has a straightforward single room interior with the servery located on the right hand wall. The room has mostly been fitted out with seating options, including high tables and stools directly opposite the bar and standard tables and chairs beyond. Some nice dark wood partitioning screens partly obscure the left hand side of the pub where a lot more standard seating can be found, as can a huge fireplace with a lovely curved lintel and a wooden surround decorated with a collection of wall clocks. The ceiling has a nice frieze running around it and the usual 'Spoons local history boards include some fine photos of the 'Jolly Tars' performers who gave the pub its name. A TV to one side of the pub was showing a muted BBC programme and to the rear of the room there was an open kitchen, which was a Wetherspoons first for me, although ironically I found another in a different pub the following day. For me, the star attraction is the bar back which has some high arched recesses, each filled with large mirrors and fronted by displays of spirit bottles or, in one case, with a 'Jolly Tars' clock mounted on an elaborate backboard. The pub has a sizeable seating area out on the wide front pavement, in lieu of a proper beer garden.
There are ten hand pumps on the bar, and these were serving a decent ratio of six guest ales and four 'Spoons regulars. I struggled to find a guest that caught my eye and ended up with a decent enough pint of Moorhouse Witchfinder General. The staff were all very friendly, including the two doormen who were jovially welcoming everyone and wishing them a good evening on their way out.
This seemed like a pretty well run branch of this ubiquitous pub chain and whilst I wasn't enamoured with their guest ale choice, I did at least think the pub had a bit of character, which isn't always the case for shop conversions. Probably your best bet for a decent pint in Cleveleys.

New Wetherspoons opening on Tuesday the 28th of June. The pub was open to invited guests during the daytime for three days before opening, and given two drinks and a meal from the new menu. The pub has ten handpulls but only two were in use both with house beers on them. The prices here are higher than the nearest Wetherspoons in Fleetwood, and their cheapest cask is 60p a pint dearer. We had a very nice meal and two pints of cask in top condition well served by very busy staff.
