Old Boots left this review about The New Inn

Appears to be closed, looking very dilapidated and enclosed in scaffolding.

Bog standard pub and you would be better served going to the Ilson Tap if you want decent real ale. This place is U-shaped inside with an L-shaped bar. One handpull serving Adnams Southwold. A fairly downbeat decor didn't make for a great stay. Not bad but far from good.

The New Inn is halfway down or up bath street depending which way you come from.
This is a decent looking pub that used to be a Shipstones tied house, once inside there was a bar at the front and a smarter lounge at the rear.
We have been in this pub lots of times and my first few visits were to play in the table skittle league here.
There were two real ales on here with both Shipstones bitter and mild being very nice drinks.
This pub is still open but i am not sure what beers the pub now has on.
