A strange building with a turret and tucked besides two very busy roads, the long thin exterior breaks into two sections both with basic rough wood and scaffolding pole type furniture with the bar at the rear end.It has an ale house, boozer vibe inside while outside there is a generous decked beer terrace with high fencing and good awnings making a pleasing drinking area in good weather.
Just three handpumps drawing on my visit Stonehouse Equinox,Osset Cascade and White Rat (great,NBSS 4.5) with a larger selection of craft keg from 9 taps with some exotic and high ABV brews.4 ciders on offer too. It's 2023 GBG listed which seems about right.
A good crawl venue but lacking charm,a functional stop but not quite a destination pub.Beware of the 4pm opening Mon-Thur.

I remember this place being called Kash the last time I visited in 2013. Convenient for Chester railway station (especially if your train is delayed), it is long and narrow place split into different sections. I sat at a table next to the bar which is at the far end from the main entrance. Toilets are upstairs.

Ossett White Rat is the regular ale. Guests on my Sunday evening visit were Hafod Sunrise & Stonehouse Shifting Sands. Ciders were from Rosie's - Triple D & Wicked Wasp. Craft options were Polly's Rosebud, SALT Huckaback & Magic Rock Salty Kiss.

A very pleasant pub a bit out of town. Specialising in half priced pizza on our Wednesday evening visit, which means it was pretty busy. Lots a refectory type tables for seating amongst a few tables and chairs. Four handpumps, but only Jaipur actually available as the barman said they'd had a really busy weekend and the beer in the cellar was still settling. Despite it being Hobsons choice it was in good nick. Personally I'd happily walk out here again as the excellent Old Cottage is nearby.

Re-visited on a recent Saturday evening, and was pleased to find the Deva Tap busier than it had been on my afternoon visit a couple of years back. Four cask ales available but unfortunately only one was of interest - this being Variation on a Theme by Rooster's. This was fine but nothing to get too excited about. Several keg options available including ciders and craft keg, though nothing strong. We had time to stay for a second drink before the train and as nothing else on cask was grabbing my attention went for Floret by Polly's on keg, which was rather nice.

A reasonably decent option if you have time to spare before catching a train, but otherwise I don't think I would find myself going out of my way to make a return visit.

This pub has gradually improved over the years from its time as being called "Kash". No longer owned by Deva brewery but retains the name. Several good hand pulled beers. One long room with the bar across one end but with several separate seating areas. Near the station and worth a call on the way to the Old Cottage!

Visited last Friday lunchtime. The place was dead but it is a bit out of the centre being nearer the train station. There are five hand pulls at the bar, one of which was off when I visited. In addition there are 11 keg options and three ciders listed on the board. I had the Devil's Bed Post by Blackjack at £2 for a half. It was pulled through before being served, which was good to observe.

Inside there is a stone floor, grey paintwork, nice chilled out music playing, and it felt relaxed despite me being the only customer in.

Food is served - burgers, pizza, chicken, sandwiches etc.

The chef was singing loudly in the background to different music, which I found amusing.

I didn’t notice any ‘Deva beers’ to be honest, they certainly weren’t on any of the handpumps. Anyway, as modern style beer bars go, this is a nice one. Friendly and unpretentious though the food looks expensive for ‘bar bites’. Outdoor seating very pleasant on a sunny April afternoon.

Despite the name there are no Deva beers here now and it’s operating as a general craft beer good beer pub. It’s a quirky and quite striking building to look at, though the interior doesn’t in any way match up being a long and narrow knock-through, the ghost of the original three rooms are still there and the bar is situated at the far end. Felt that this layout detracts from the atmosphere as the seating closer to the entrance (and farthest from said bar) lack atmosphere and warmth, with the vaulted ceiling and flagstone/tile floors making for harsh acoustics. Four ales on the go, 3x Blackjack and one from Salopian, alongside an eclectic craft keg selection (including White Hag). I went for a Blackjack Stout which was in pretty good shape (NBSS 3.5) and a keg White Hag. I struggled to warm to this one really, but you’ll want to tick it off nonetheless. 6.5

Much improved place. A good brewery tap for Deva beers and a good place to have a drink. Lots of Deva crafty stuff and 5 handpumps for real ale compliment the expensive nonsense. The interior is also more comfortable than its previous incarnation. Well worth a visit.

Yet to have a decent drink in here. Its not great and you can be waiting a while to get served with a grimace either because whoever is behind the bar is faffing around doing god knows or you're waiting while some beardy tit has ordered 2 jugs of lagerpop. Which is a shame. 4
