Very small bar tucked down a lane didn’t visit the upstairs area. 4 real ales and a good bottle and can selection.

Angie's was closed the last time I visited Gloucester shortly after pubs re-opened following a lockdown in July 2020. With the social distancing rules that were in place back then, I can see why they were unable to open. This is a small bar hidden away in a courtyard/alleyway off one of Gloucester's main shopping streets.
We stayed in the small ground floor area, where there are 3 tables, each seating 2. As such, our arrival meant all 6 seats on the ground floor were taken. The unisex toilet can be find near the entrance, along with a set of stairs leading to further drinking upstairs on the first floor.
The landlord was a friendly chap and was explaining the reason for the place's name. His wife and himself had previously owned a bar somewhere in the Mediterranean, of which there is a picture on the windowsill.
Two real ales from Goff's were on - Tournament & Jester Brew 12 Blackberry Porter. The latter was in fine condition and was very tasty indeed. It was to be the first of 3 similar style porters I was to sample in Gloucestershire on the day.
In addition to the real ales, there is also a keg selection, along with a varied bottle selection too. This is certainly up there along with the Pelican and the Turk's Head as one of the best 3 pubs in Gloucester, in my humble opinion.

Good Beer Guide 2020 Entry.
As per Brainy Pools review below - the most friendly of bar owners you could hope to meet.
Track and trace is manual - but once he knows your name, he constantly refers to you by it.
One real ale on at arrival - but when he added a boon doggle, he brought me a free half to taste.
Smallest bar in Gloucester but does have some outside tables for the covid paranoid (like myself!).

an absolutely tiny bar down a side alley. It has been a brilliant effort from them to reopen with decent levels of trade, thanks very much to their small outdoor area. One real ale from Youngs, a few keg beers and a load of bottles. Minuscule area downstairs plus a second floor. Owner is a real peoples person, extremely friendly and hard working, constantly cleaning tables etc and I hope he has continued success with this little gem. The cafe opposite is also excellent.
