Will Larter left this review about The Friendship Inn

A long, handsome and substantial building with double doors leading into an interior that retains many original features and is largely unspoilt (with the exception of the front lounge to the right - see the heritage link below for details). There are two hand pumps on the bar, with Sharps Doom Bar on one and a Bradfield beer on the other. My half pint of their rugby union world cup special, Line Out, was in good nick, only cost £1.45 and proved to be a pleasant drink. I went to sit in the room on the left which has a fireplace with a wooden surround; in the top part of this there is an insert with a watercolour painting (see photos). I returned after my football match on Bracken Moor, reputedly one of the coldest football grounds in the country. A brisk walk back here for another half helped to warm me up and the bus stop for the late bus back to Sheffield is only a few yards from the front door: just as well, as the bus left three minutes before timetable and I only just caught it.
