Brainy Pool left this review about Bottle Room

narrow bar at the end of Lord Street with plenty of outside pavement seating, it’s a pleasant place with a barman that was friendly and engaging. Two ales were both local- Parkers Viking Blonde and Southport Golden Sands. still loads of bottled beers on the shelves opposite the bar and these were proving popular with some drinkers.

ROB Camra left this review about Bottle Room

This is now called The Bottle Room for some reason, even though it still sells cask ale. Admittedly it does have a massive range of bottles available to drink in or take away though. Long and narrow, like many of the converted shops along Lord Street. The bar is to the rear and there's a small seating area just beyond it. The front area is more café like. Friendly barman and pleasant customers during our Tuesday, early evening visit. Only 1 cask ale available which was Southport Sandgrounder. Apparently this alternates with Golden Sands according to the barman. There's also a real cider available. We liked it in here and will call again next time we're around.

Old Boots left this review about Inn Beer Shop

Does what it says on the tin, it's a bottle shop and inn, very long and thin with shelves part way down one side and a counter on the other. A selection of garden furniture shares some of this limited space and there's more seating outside continental style. I didn't count the wickets but enjoyed my Titanic Plum Porter immensely.

Excellent for bottled beers but only 2 handpumps for real ale draught. Long and thin the bar is to the back. Southport Brewery Dark Night was the beer of choice and was quite pleasant. Tables on the front pavement if you fancy outside drinking. Reasonably priced draught ale.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Inn Beer Shop

One of the highlights of our visit. The front of this small pub/bottled beer emporium had a few ornate cast iron tables and chairs set out, which gave it that touch of class as you entered. The left-hand side wall from front to rear was shelved and had approx 300 different types of beer to choose from. To the rear, there was a small bar with two handpumps and two fonts serving up two continental lagers. The owner was friendly and chatty, as too were the other couple of drinkers on our visit. We tried the Southport Brewery Old Shrimper and Ruck and Maul, both on handpump and one as good as the other. You can also try their bottled beers, 50p extra for drinking them on the premises. Highly recommend a visit here.

A very interesting relatively new concept, the Public being able to drink within the building or purchase to take away, or sit at tables outside , Stocks over 300 bottled beers from around the world, largest selection of German Beers, certainly in the Merseyside Region.
Cask ale from Southport Brewery always available, plus Guest German & Belgian Beers on draught. Tea, Coffee, Pies also available.
A very warm welcome awaits all customers from Pete and his knowledgable staff at this rather different High Street Shop.
