Steve C left this review about Legends Bar

Legends is located just off the sea front at the southern edge of Brighton’s gay quarter. The A-board out the front proudly boasts opening times of 11am until 5am. The Basement Club downstairs was closed during my late Wednesday evening visit so I’m not sure if the 5am closing is every day. Christmas has already been embraced and the soft red hue is broken up bright decorations. There were also some Christmas hits playing in amongst the dance music and Maria Carey seems to be a favourite. This is a good sized bar with a little stage to the right of the entrance and from the décor I would say that it is often used by drag acts and I’d imagine there are a few cabaret nights held here. A few tables were dotted on what I’d imagine turns into a dance floor at the weekends. There is some café style seating out the front and there are steps up to the revolving door entrance. I found the barman to be very friendly and the usual standard draught products are available. Between 17:00 and 21:00 Monday to Thursday all bottles are £2 and pints £2.50.

There are a few LGBT pubs in Brighton that I have felt very comfortable in, but this was not one of them so I’ll not be returning.
