Another thatched chocolate box place which seem to be prevalent in this section of Hampshire. A multi-roomed country pub ambience within; a selection of brasses, hung rifles and swords. Main point of note was the bar servery (more a long rectangular hole in the wall), with the upper support beam looking pleasingly wonky and aged. Three ales; TT Landlord (disappointing condition), Belhaven IPA and GK OSH. A good summer pub, with sun-trap outside seating and a well. As is usual nowadays, food was the main point of trade and there were a number of diners eating. Not enough to warrant more than an average mark, maybe if the ale had been better…
