E TA left this review about The White Hart

A very pleasant village pub with a good sized garden and a small car park. The building was constructed in 1682 as a private house, and it became a pub in 1756. The garden contains a children's play area, while the car park serves as a village facility. Inside, the ground floor rooms have been opened up to form a single rambling bar, while the chimney stacks have been left, two containing open fires and the third a woodburner, meaning it gets quite cosy when all three are lit. The bar is carpeted and furnished with a balanced mixture of dining tables and comfy chairs. The building is old, so the uneven floor and low lintels, all of which keeps you aware of your surroundings, were built long before 'Elf and Safety banned such characteristic features. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and there was free wifi available. There was a limited menu, but it was freshly cooked and represented good value for money. Two ales on, I had Hopback Golden Best which was in perfect condition. It's an excellent local and, despite being off the beaten track, well worth making an effort to find. I would be delighted to come back anytime.
