Across the road from the train station. Good place to have your 2nd or penultimate drink if your visiting Glossop.

Yes another good place to call in when you get off the train always got a good few in had a good pint of Theastones best bitter people very friendly or was it we are strangers

The George Hotel is a stone built pub that is quite close to Glossop train station.
This pub was the starting point for my Glossop crawl,this was an attempt to do all the pubs in Glossop.
Once inside the pub was quite smart and comfortable and very quiet as it was just after opening time,the pub looked like it was a Theakston house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Theakston XB and this was a very nice drink after a long journey here the other beer was Theakston bitter.
I thought this was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in.
