Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Star Inn

Attractive Good Beer Guide pub right by the station, with an unusual curved corner design. Two main rooms, a wedge-shaped bar (with dark wood panelling on the walls to match the counter) and a smaller lounge beyond. With four of the six handpumps in use, I found Boltmaker, Abbeydale Absolution, Pictish Azacca and the local Kerala from Howard Town (£3.40). Well worth a visit.

An old stone pub very close to the railway station and on a busy street corner. It's been opened out, but still has a couple of distinct areas. Plenty old wood panelling and old pictures on the walls. There's a piano in one area, but whether or not it's still played at times I wouldn't know, I kind of hope so. Beware of the small step down to the toilets, two people missed it in the short time we were here and almost went flying. 6 handpumps on the bar and my pint of Abbeydale was in good nick. I'd happily call in here again next time I'm in Glossop.

This is an old town pub handily situated by the station. It has been opened out into one big room but retains different areas where separate bars would once have been. The bar counter is in the middle area. This has a wooden floor while the one to the left facing the bar has red and black tiling and the right side is carpeted.
The bar has six hand pumps which had two ciders, Acorn Fiesta, Cotleigh Commando, Oakham Citra and a Howard Town beer that I couldn't read. I went for the Acorn Fiesta (£3.30) which was first class. I thought this was an excellent pub and would happily return.

Great pub to have your 1st or last drink before the train. Nice view from the benches outside.

Excellent old-fashioned street corner boozer near the station, with an authentic feel making it definitely the best of the three options, unless you happen to like keg beer (George) or pop videos (Norfolk).

Multiple hand pumps of which three had ales and one a cider on our recent Tuesday afternoon visit. Three different breweries represented: Castle Rock, Old Bear and Adnams. The beer was served in excellent condition. A few locals were scattered about the main bar, which has wood panelling and a wooden floor, but we explored a little further and sat in the back room, which also has wooden panelling but a tiled floor, and a small serving hatch linking it to the bar, although it's easy enough to walk through to get served.

The walls have several pictures of the pub in various styles and mediums, plus local photos, an original acrylic painting of a Peak District river, framed displays of past pump clips and a couple of old Czech lager adverts. Definitely not to be missed if you are in Glossop for more time than it takes to get out again.

The Star is a decent looking pub that is almost opposite the George and is also close to the train station.
The sign outside said ale house so i was hoping for a good choice of beers here, once inside the pub was fairly smart and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Taylor Landlord and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Boddington bitter and a beer called Brewers Gold.
This was a decent enough pub.
