Alan Winfield left this review about The Horns Inn

The Horns Inn is opposite the now closed Travellers Rest and it is next to the bus terminus.
Once inside this pub had a single room that had a couple of quirky areas off it,there was a pool table in a small raised room to the rear and there was a very small room at the front of the pub which had games machines in it.
The main drinking area had a stone floor to the left and was carpeted to the right, the seating was mainly tables and chairs or small stools.
The pub had a proper pubby atmosphere and was the sort of pub i could have stayed in longer,i had a nice chat with the very friendly young ladlady.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Spire Dark Side of the Moon and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Black Sheep bitter and GK IPA.
This is a really nice pub and i was made welcome as soon as i walked through the door.

The Horns Inn, Holmesfield is once again alive and kicking! It has been recently taken over by a charming young couple who are enthusiastic and excited about bringing life and laughter into this lovely old pub. The place has already undergone changes in a short time
and is clean and positively sparkling. We have been made so welcome and love it.

We continued our journey of Holmesfield to the Horns, the pub was empty, the lady at the end of the bar looked at us as thou we were aliens, we quicly turned on our heels and walked out, very dirty and disappointing pub
