Up to only a few months ago this was a Steamin' Billy Brewery pub, so all the front of the pub has been repainted to remove their logo. The interior however still retains the original coloured paintwork.
The interior consists of a large lounge area on the right and a bar area on the left. There was also a raised rear lounge at the back of the bar, which was full of kids and dogs and quite noisy.
Four ales on handpump Doom Bar, Young's Special, Billy Bitter and Marston 61 Deep. We went for the Young's and Billy Bitter and both were in good shape. The locals were all friendly and it was good to see a well supported pub.
There is a bus stop right outside which was handy.
