Bog standard Toby Carvery. Very large one though, with the main room divided into several areas by partitions. For some reason there were quite a lot of people who were just having a drink. Why would you do that when there are some decent pubs nearby? The only ale available was Brakspear Bitter although there were more handpumps. The staff were all busy sorting out some families with children, so I decided to leave it.

Called here on the 29th of Feb its what you expect it says Carvery did not want to know you unless you are eating the food looked good but not many in for a dinner time.
Just had one drink and left the bar was like Mars no atmosphere.
Wont rush back

23 Jan 2012 - Table for 4 Not Pre-booked. This is a typical Toby Carvery set up and we have eaten here on about 4 other occasions. This was a Monday night and there were plenty of seats available. On other occasions we have also been okay for a seat except the time we turned up on a Sunday. Boy was that stressful! However, on this occasion everything was good and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If I was being ultra critical then service from waitress was a little slow )particularly over deserts) and my wife got the last slices of Turkey (which were dry) just before chef got a fresh one. I told her to go back and ask to be exchanged but she was too shy and wouldn't let me "cause a scene". Apart from that - highly recommended.
