Real Ale Ray left this review about The Vine

A decent traditional pub with a welcoming young couple managing the place. The interior is a bit of a labyrinth, but if you keep heading right of the entrance down a narrow tiled corridor, you'll find two small lounges with a single bar supporting both sides.
Both rooms were showing sport with one side showing the footy and the other one had the rugby on. The bar area hosted seven handpumps split between both rooms. Three cask ales Pedigree, Bass and Abbott. I went for the Bass which was in excellent condition. I noticed a further room around the mid section, plus a covered beer garden, along with a pool table, where the younger crowd tend to congregate.

A return visit to this delightful old pub, with rather more than the miserable two rooms I counted in 2017 - this time I lost my way and had to ask someone in the third room where the bar could be found. In fact there are two bars and at least two other rooms. The barman was just changing the Pedigree barrel, and this plus the Theakston Lightfoot were duplicated, with the Bass in the room on the right only. I went for the last named, and it was in very good condition. I had a chat with two locals who were watching the cricket on the TV. I mentioned that there were about five times as many people in the Hole in the Wall round the corner, though this is the better pub by a mile, and one of them said that when there's some sport on the TV they want to watch, they all come piling round here and then go back when it's over. (I didn't look in the garden - there may have been more here than were sitting on the pavement outside the Hole, but I reckon this would still have been the less busy pub.) I'm afraid that someone will come along and knock all the walls down in this lovely old pub and make a sports bar out of it.

Will Larter left this review about The Vine Inn

A small brick-built village pub with what is claimed to be a large beer garden, though it being the middle of winter I didn't check it out. There are two rooms, at right angles to the road, with bar shared between them and two hand pumps on each bar counter. (See photo for other beers on at the time of my visit.)

The barman was very friendly, and apologised that the Camra discount had been disabled on the till so that it couldn't be applied to half pints. He went on to mention that wine by the glass was £3.90 but when, following customer feedback, the pub company introduced chardonnay, it was priced at £4.60. We agreed that the stuffed shirts and accountants who run pubcos were what machine guns were invented for.
