Looking through the windows of Rock Steady Eddies into the large high ceiling open plan interior I was in two minds about whether go in. I decided to push the door, and to my surprise the woman pulling the pints was on the other side trying to bolt it shut. I apologised and went to move on, but she insisted that I come in for a pint, so I did. The bar counter, with standard keg, is found on the right-hand wall where it faces some banquettes that run from front to rear separating the bar area from the pub sports area to the left. There are two pool tables and a dartboard. In the left rear corner is, what may have been, a DJ booth and televisions are found throughout for showing live football. There were only two other customers, who got up to leave the second the final whistle went in the Premier League match that was playing. I decided to slosh my pint back and gratefully take my leave through the rear exit and car park. There’s no ale so this won’t feature on most people’s list, but it is very friendly and a good spot for a game of pool or darts.

Called in for a game of pool. 2 tables, big screen for sport. Not a bad place. No real ale but I'm happy to call in for a pint!

This is a detached low level corner pub/pool and snooker bar and music venue, in white painted brick.

The interior has two rooms that i saw. On the left on entry is the public lounge bar and this is where i went as the room to the right was in darkness - not sure if that was the function room they advertise, or where there is a snooker table. The lounge is a straight-forward open plan rectangular room, with a couple of pool tables and a dart board. The decor has a couple of half coffee and half white walls, contrasted with half brown and half white walls. There is an undressed brick fire-place and a DJ area and tiled floor at one end, where bands set up, i guess. The music was supplied via the juke-box and the TV was on, with general BBC stuff. The service was friendly and a couple of lads and an older chap were in. There are some UJ's and St George's flags on the walls, as well as a banner of the 2nd Mercian Volunteers, who meet here. There were no pictures.

Beer; no real ale, all tap stuff, with a decent enough keg Banks's MILD.

Less a pub, more a music venue and games place - but it has a public bar, which seems nicer than many of the so-called pubs in Walsall. No good for the real ale fan, but great if you fancy pool and are happy with the keg stuff.
