I must admit that I was expecting more than the usual standard and premium keg in a place called Beer Café. Maybe this relates to the bottled beer selection, which I tend not to drink due to the excessive price. Café type seating is found throughout and there is a raised seating area under the stairs at the rear. Out the back on Merchant Square are some picnic tables. The service was polite, but I don’t see the attraction of this place.

As per the review below the only thing to add is that you can get bar ticket that can be ticked every time you buy a different beer and when you have 25 you get a free T-shirt. But due to the prices that may take along time.

The Beer Café is set in Glasgow's Merchant City and is stocked with a wide range of 90 worldwide bottle beers which are displayed in a rounded tall cabinet in the central part of the bar. There was also a bank of unusual global lagers on draught(Only saw one actual beer though). The pub has large windows overlooking Candleriggs and tables at the rear in the courtyard of Merchant Square.
The pub also sells a range of quirky pies but found the bottles slightly on the pricey side with the Duvel at £5.40p the most expensive.
