Located adjacent to a busy roundabout is the Royal Telegraph that is a prominent rounded corner pub that wasn’t on my crawl list, but piqued my interest enough to make me wander in. Booth seating runs along the inside of the curved exterior, faced by a curved bar counter that follows the same contour. In the right is more seating and an a pool table, televisions are located throughout for airing the advertised BT Sport. There was some low background music, but this was trumped by a couple of punters debating music lyrics whilst listening to World in Motion on one of their phones.
Two of the four hand pumps were unused in this Marston’s pub, so the available cask was Pedigree and Ringwood’s Forty-Niner. Standard keg was also available along with the pub co pub grub menu. I think the exterior of this pub is far more interesting than the interior so I think I’ll continue past next time.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal Telegraph

The interior of this Marston's pub is larger than I expected, with a curved bar counter echoing the main façade. Slightly split-level (with two steps), and sub-divided into several seating / dining areas with a pool table at one end. Anonymous semi-modern furniture, with the only feature of note being the illuminated glazed panels above the central part of the servery. Standard pubco menu. On the real ale front, I found Pedigree (£3.00), Boon Doggle and Wainwright as a guest from three of four handpumps.

Large corner pub that used to be called Strutts. It's not changed much since then though. It's got a large games area with pool table, quiz machine etc, loads of TVs for the football and opens early for breakfast. Three handpumps on the bar, but it's usually only Pedigree with the odd visit from a Jennings beer. It's not the best kept pint in Derby by a long way, but it's usually OK. It's a good place to watch a match as it's not as packed as those in central Derby.
