Old Boots left this review about The Thomas Osborne

A brick built Victorian building now run under the Craft Union banner, it’s a single long room running the width of the pub with the counter against the back wall. Traditional pub style with banquette seating round the periphery at wooden tables, a few mid height tables with matching chairs are found through the middle clutching iron columns or brick pillars. Two hand pumps with a choice of Theakstons Best or Lightfoot, decidedly average but in a Theakstons glass, a couple of T-bars and solos give an ordinary keg range. There are quite a few screens dotted about and and a collection of machines and a pool table at one end. Flag and carpet flooring, tongue & groove and panelled walls in brown and grey respectively, an interesting bit of decor is a first series OS map on a pillar but covering too small an area to be exciting. My fellow almost exclusively male, older punters were as expected for a value brand pub on a Friday lunchtime.

pint please left this review about The Streets of Leeds

The following is taken from the local newspaper.....
Published on Friday 29 April 2011
A troublespot Leeds pub has been ordered to close after failing in a bid to keep its licence.
Leeds City Council revoked the licence of the Streets of Leeds in Roundhay last July after hearing details from police of criminal activity linked to the premises.
However, the pub was allowed to remain open pending an appeal against the council’s decision.
Now, though, that appeal has been dismissed by magistrates in Leeds, forcing the Street Lane-based pub to shut.
