Visited on Friday afternoon. Three pumps at the bar but only two were clipped, offering Bombardier by Eagle (formerly Charles Wells) and Holy Grail by Black Sheep. I went for the Holy Grail at £1.80 for a half, and it was OK. Another Easingwold pub with a less than exciting real ale selection. A chalk board listed the guest ales though this was slightly out of date, as one of the "coming next" ones was actually on. The other two listed were Leeds Pale and Tetleys. I have concluded that Easingwold is not exactly a hotspot for real ale. On the upside, my drink was topped up without me having to ask.

The pub itself was done up a few years ago and has a pleasant interior with different sections which were presumably separate rooms at one point. The small section I sat in had a TV showing horse racing, a dart board and some built-in shelves with some rather ornate plasterwork. There is a beer garden to the rear which is a functional space, part paved, part grass, and of course has picnic bench seating. There are also some tables out the front. Back in the pub there is a room to the right which looked more set up for dining.

Wi-Fi is advertised but is one of those where it is obviously the router's default network name and password, rather than being customised to something a bit more user friendly. Good luck to anyone trying to enter the code after a few pints.

Again, not a bad pub in itself but the real ale selection let it down for me.

Nothing special about this place. Bar in the middle with room in front of it and a beer garden to the rear. No real ale - just keg.

One of four pubs clustered in Easingwold's large but secluded market place, this one sits a little apart from the others. Opened out at some time previously residual walls give it a slightly odd layout, there is almost a public bar at the front left with a dart board and a small seating/eating area to the right. Also on the right is a separate dining room. The bar counter is in the traditional rear wall position with a pool table in the back corner. Usual keg suspects plus two handpumps serving John Smiths Cask and Bombardier, although Taylors Bitter was next up once the Smiths ran out. It's carpeted throughout and has traditional solid Britannia and sewing machine tables with bench seating and stools. In common with most pubs in Easingwold the ceiling is low and the walls white with a few prints and photos for decoration including a couple of old shots of the pub from the 1890s and the 1930s.
