If all estate pubs were like this, the genre wouldn't have the negative connotations that attach to it. It's got the look of a crown post office or a labour exchange, though it's obviously a purpose built pub. The lass behind the bar had seen me taking photos (they must have cctv as there's no way she could have seen me otherwise) and asked me about it, but not in a tone of voice that would have implied I was doing something they might disapprove of; in fact she was very friendly as well as efficient, serving my real ale while another customer's Guinness was settling. The Jennings Cumberland was the only beer, but it was in fine shape; as I was leaving I asked the lass to give my compliments to the licensee, which she said he'd be happy about.

The Rising Sun is at the top end of beverley road in north hull.
This looks like a 30s style pub from the outside and there are a few picnic benches at the front to watch the traffic go by,once inside there is one L shaped room and there was a small raised seating area at the front of the pub the main drinking area was carpeted and had seating bays with comfortable bench type seating.
There were two real ales on here i had a drink of Jennings cumberland and this was quite a nice drink the other beer was Hobgoblin.
I thought this was quite a nice pub to have a few drinks in.
