Will Larter left this review about Butchers Arms
A small roadside pub with low beams, appropriately padded in places. An A-board outside dates the pub to the 19th century, but the building looks considerably older. It appears to be food oriented, at least at lunchtime, but there were four real ales on the bar (see photos) and some real cider too. Their own brewery was established in 2016, but I swerved their Godiva, whose pump clip described it as "refreshing, blonde and fruity", but perhaps more importantly 4.6% abv, which I try to avoid when cycling. I went for the Wye Valley Bitter 3.7% which was in good condition. I liked it here - my notes made at the time include the phrase "unspoilt by progress" - but it's a seriously out of the way location and it would be a surprise if I ever found myself returning.
