This is the sort of pub that probably derives 90% of its income from weekend food, so finding a decent beer here was a bonus. Having had my fill of Bradfield Belgian Blue in three out of the four previous pubs, I went for the Timothy Taylor Boltmaker, which was in excellent condition. There's a real fire here too, a solid fuel stove that had the doors open, providing a welcome glow.

Highlight of the visit, though, was this exchange at the bar: (Barman to colleague) "Can you serve this dude?". (Me) "Not sure I'm a dude." (Barman) "You are."

This pub is on a quiet road at the back of the village but not too far from the main road.
This is a stone built pub once inside here there is one long room that is at the front of the pub this room has beams and pillars which gives it different drinking areas, there wer two real ales on here i had a drink of Taylor Landlord which was very nice the other beer was Deuchars IPA.
I thought this was quite a nice pub and i was happy enough having a dring here.
