Will Larter left this review about The Patterdale Hotel

An old fashioned hotel bar with low square tables and easy chairs dotted about a large room with pillars and a smaller room off. There was piped music that seemed at first to only be in the smaller room but when a CD of power ballads made its appearance, the music was well and truly spread throughout all rooms. Before I acquired an MP3 player, this would have caused me to sup up and move on, but I can block out almost anything now.

Beers were from the Tirril brewery, Old Faithful and their house bitter, here rebadged as Patterdale Choice.

Large hotel with public bar and outdoor drinking area beside the main A592 through Patterdale. Usually two real ales on handpump in the summer.
