A village pub in an affluent village, off the beaten track and reached down narrow country lanes. There is no real garden to speak of, but there is a large, unpaved carpark at the back. Inside there is a small public bar to the right and a larger saloon, leading to a games room, on the left. It was very quiet when we visited, but the landlady was quite chatty and friendly. The floors are flagstone, there are structural timbers on display, and it's popular with the more mature village residents. There was only one ale on, Doombar, which was in decent condition. It's a nice enough pub, very pleasant and worth a visit, but it's not an easy one to include in a crawl, and with only one beer on, it's not a first-choice venue for ale fans

Nice, small village pub with a bit of rural charm but, considering it's in the CAMRA guide, I was a tad disappointed on my last visit to find only one ale on - Dartmoor Brewery's "Dartmoor IPA" - which seemed a little tired to my palate. Just goes to show that if you don't get enough punters even CAMRA can't help. Shame as it now ranks below average with me and I'm not likely to return.

An out of the way secluded village local. There is no through road so does not benefit from passing trade. Half the pub was in darkness which adds to the isolated feeling. The only other customers seemed to be 2 skittles teams. Still, Doom Bar on tap which was un exciting, other tap stuff. I don't think I'd go out of way to go back.
