Large (and sadly very empty on our Saturday lunchtime visit) pub perched up a hill overlooking the valley. U-shaped inside, with sports TV (football was on) and pool. Comfy-looking dining area to the far left of the U. Just one ale, a decent drop of Pedigree served by a barman of few words. Spotted some baps behind the bar and scoffed a ham and tomato variant for a princely £1.50. I hope it gets livelier in here later on in the day because it felt a bit sad at lunch.
