Agree with Will here it is definitely a locals pub with there being around 20 gents of a certain age congregating around the bar at 12-20pm There still have 3 hand pumps in operation but today there was only 2 in operation. The stained glass entrance door which depicted a greyhound was an interesting feature although not sure if it was the original one.

This is a really nice village local. It's an interesting-looking building, and internally it lives up to that standard, with several different areas leading off the area in front of the bar counter, which unusually has a tiled step instead of a brass rail for propping your leaned-upon foot.

On the bar itself there are three hand pumps which were serving John Smiths Cask, Bradfield Farmers Blonde and Belgian Blue. There were over a dozen people in here at the time of my late afternoon visit, and the steady hum of conversation drowned out the background music most of the time. A proper local with proper local people in it (and me).

Been licensee here now for two months and have thoroughly enjoyed the customer feedback.
We now have the heating and lighting on permanent also hoping to introduce real ales soon.
Mondays quiz (gallon of beer)
Glad to say no Jukebox (only background music) and no pool table.
A very pleasant pub with entertaining customers.
Present products are, Johns Smiths, Carling, Stella, Strongbow, Stone`s, Guinness, Magnet.
Open 11am every day.

The Greyhound is a stone built pub that looks a bit different.
Inside it is nothing special and there was no real ale on the bar the keg beers were Stones Bitter and John Smiths smooth.
