The Dog and Partridge has a central L-shaped bar with seating and a dartboard to the right and more seating down the left side. Televisions are found throughout for airing Sky Sports. The bar supports two handpumps that were drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar and TT Landlord alongside a standard and premium keg range. Food is available, the cheeseburger is less than a tenner. There are picnic tables on a patio out the front and there’s a beer garden out the back with decked seating area. The service was friendly and this place is OK, but I’d probably walk past if in the area again.

Now reopened after major refurbishment. Real Ale is back on with one Robinsons beer and two National beers.

Tried to visit this pub yesterday, but it's closed with major building works going on. It may even be a demolition, although a local in another pub told me he expected it to reopen in some form.

The Mersey Vale was a largish 60s built Boddingtons tied house.
There were two rooms with a bar and lounge i had a drink of Boddingtons Bitter and this was fairly nice.

Pub visited 9 March 1989.
