Blue Scrumpy left this review about Legends
Located on a prominent corner on Matthew Street the Legends appears to refer to both sporting and musical legends. I feared overkill on Liverpool FC, but could only see a picture of Kenny Dalglish (one of the so-called legends) and one other sign.
It was far too noisy in here to be enjoyable, with loud music playing. Whether the multiple TVs had any volume, I'm not sure. If they did, they were drowned out by the music. The pub was busy, undoubtedly due to the happy hour attracting a fair few. The keg options were Neck Oil, Carling, Heineken, Strongbow, Coors, Madri, Guinness, San Miguel & Tetley's. At £3 a pint, I doubt you'll get a cheaper pint of Neck Oil anywhere else in the country. I may have struggled to order it due to the volume of the music, but it was worth the effort.
Given the White Star just up the road was charging almost £6 for a lager, it was unsurprising that my drinking mates who had headed there had found an almost empty pub.
For value, Legends cannot be beaten. As a pub, this will be a one-off visit.

Al Bundy left this review about The Quarry Quarter
This is now called Legends. A sports bar with, unsurprisingly, lots of tellies. Thankfully it doesn't go overboard with The Beatles malarkey that's so prevalent in this area. The main ground floor is a bare bricked open room. No real ale.
