The Greenbank is a large bare brick built corner pub that is set in the back streets of Easton.
Once inside the bar faces in a single U shaped room,the floor is bare boarded,there are normal tables and chairs to the left and bench seating to the front right,there are more normal tables and chairs to the rear right.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Purity Gold which went down very well,the other real ales were Prescott Hill Climb and Prescott Piston Broke.
The pub was quite smart and also fairly busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
I quite liked this pub.

An imposing and good sized, street corner pub, it is now run by the team behind Zazu’s Kitchen who have a couple of other venues in the city, although this is their first pub. Internally it consists of one open plan room wrapped around a curved, wood panelled central bar counter, although there is also a function room upstairs that hosts regular music and comedy nights.
Décor wise, it has a fairly stripped back look with exposed brick walls which have been left bare at the rear but painted either white or pale blue at the front, and the ceiling had similar colours. The flooring is wood strip and there were a few black and white photographs on the wall as well as a collection of butterflies. A small bookcase at the rear housed a few old books and board games and elsewhere was a piano, speakers and lighting rig suggesting that entertainment is held downstairs on occasions as well as up.
The menu consists entirely of pizza and pasta and most of these were available in two sizes. Prices were mostly around the £9/£10 mark for the larger sizes and my sausage, pepperoni and mozzarella version was a decent and tasty dish, although for some inexplicable reason was somewhat more expensive than the rest at £12.50. Perhaps it was an unusual type of sausage, it was not a name that I recognised. A (very) small specials board offered a rack of ribs with barbeque sauce, and as is the vogue in many such establishments, a selection of cakes was on the corner of the bar.
Beers on tap were Yeovil’s Stargazer, Ashley Down Sideways, Prescott Grand Prix and Tiny Rebel’s Fubar. Whilst I was there the Stargazer ran out and was promptly replaced with Piston Broke. There were also a couple more keg options and blackboards listed the available wine and cocktail choices. Ciders meanwhile were Stowford Press and Orchard Pig Reveller as well as a mulled one in a barrel behind the bar. Overall I thought this pub had a nice chilled out vibe to it, and whilst it hasn’t got the cosy ambience that I normally like in a pub, I nonetheless enjoyed my visit here and would happily return.

After a visit early evening yesterday it's good to see the place thriving since my visit previously in October 2011. The place was heaving and proving very popular with the parents of Easton with lots of young children running around but also a mix of young folk too. Seems to have a vibe of being in St Werburghs.
The bar is the central feature as you walk with as it's a large island with seats on 3 sides of it. There appeared to have 4 hand pumps on with a range of real ales. Serves food with the pizzas seeming very popular as a constant stream were emerging from the kitchen as well as numerous bags of OO flours piled up in the fireplace adding to the thought that they must be as good as they looked. Seems to have been opened up a bit from memory since my last visit.
For a more peaceful visit to enjoy the pub I'd suggest a time when maybe the parents are at work.
01/04/14 Further to Hondo's review it is being reopened by the team behind Zazu's Kitchen who have 2 bars/restaurants in the city already. This however is a pub arm venture so will be interesting to see how it pans out.

A three-year campaign to save one of Easton’s favourite pubs will end with celebrations this weekend as it reopens its doors to the neighbourhood.
Improvements include a redesigned bar, banquette leather seating areas, lighting and colour schemes as well as a new kitchen and refurbishment of the upstairs function room and bar. Renowned landscape gardeners The Secret Garden Company have transformed the outside courtyard.
