E TA left this review about Tuckers Arms

Claiming 12th century roots, this traditional village pub certainly looks the part. An irregular shaped building, thatched rook and stone walls give it character. There are three main bar areas, all having tiled floors and exposed beams. A large inglenook hosts a collection of horse brasses, dogs are allowed to roam freely and Fleetwood Mac on the stereo all make it feel homely and comfortable. The staff were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our visit. There is a skittle alley at the back, but we didn’t look into it, while a paved courtyard allows for al fresco drinking. There are also tables at the front which are OK for drinking as the road is not at all busy. Ales on were Lyme Bay Gold and Otter Bitter, both in perfect condition. Food was original dishes, a good restaurant standard, most enjoyable and reasonably priced. There were no electronic distractions, and the location, while close to the A35 tourist route, was such that there were no grockles or noisy children. I shall definitely come back here.
