The Bounty is massive ex Smith and Jones pub close to Workington's main shopping area and was originally Listers carpet shop with evidence of this on the outside entrance floor. The pub is bright, clean and well furnished throughout with numerous drinking and dining areas to go at.The pub certainly has a Wetherspoons feel to it both in the fixtures and fittings and the reasonable drinks prices, although the selection of casks was very poor.
Excluding the standard draughts and lagers there was 2 banks of 3 hand pumps. The bank to the right had no clips on any of the pumps and the left hand bank, one had a clip turned around the second one had a sign on saying "nearly ready changing cask" which left a solitary working Courage pump.
Quite liked it in this one and might have caught it on a bad day as it was only the disappointing choice of beer that let it down
