Made famous by a dinner date between Tony Blair and George W Bush, this pub is one of two Sedgefield pubs in the 2023 Good Beer Guide. Although, I can't agree with the local CAMRA branch, as the best 2 pubs in the village are not included.

The Dun Cow is a fairly cosy and carpeted establishment, specialising in meals, which didn't exactly seem cheap. With low ceilings, it has character and also has plenty to admire on the walls. As you enter, there is a more formal dining area to the left, with the bar area to the right. A further room can be found off here to the rear. People were eating in all 3 rooms. I was one of the few exceptions.

Staff are all quite young and there seemed to be a multitude of them. Regular beers are Black Sheep Best Bitter & Timothy Taylor Knowle Spring. The guest beer was a rather uninspiring Marston's 61 Deep. My Black Sheep was ok, but it's not my favourite beer.

I liked the pub itself, but a more adventurous beer range would increase its score significantly.
