Alan Winfield left this review about The Foresters

The Forresters is a typical estate type pub that was built by Home Brewery in the 60s.
I have been in this pub on many occasions and the Home bitter and mild were pretty poor here in my opinion.
On my recent visit here the pub seems pretty much the same with the same layout inside.
Once inside the bar is to the rear left, this room is irregular in shape, there is a bench seat to the front, this is where the dart board is,the area near the bar is carpeted and had normal tables and chairs, there is a pool table to the rear.
The seperate lounge is situated at the front right of the pub, this room is oblong in shape and had comfy bench seating and chairs.
To my surprise there was one real ale on the bar, this was Pedigree which was a decent drink.
The pub has been up for sale for years and the sign says refurbishment planned,i thought the pub was quite smart and well kept, why spoil it.
