Old Boots left this review about The Plough

Smallish village pub cum eatery, opened out to one room with a residual wall incorporating a wagon wheel and another to the side of the counter leading through to a food servery. Pretty much all tables and chairs supplemented with old pews, a dense forest of high stools infests the front of counter space, a real boon for bar blockers, fortunately it was quiet when I popped in. At least the counter has a hand rail, foot rail and coat hooks. The walls and some ceilings are well populated with old photos, prints and even tribal masks, there are also “witty” signs and menu blackboards. Just the one pull among the national keg founts, a reasonable Landlord apparently being the regular.

Medium-sized pub with a focus on food. The décor is a curious mixture of farmhouse-style and African tribal, with perhaps slightly too many artefacts strung from walls and ceilings, but a reasonably pleasant feel. The main room extends round from an open kitchen at one end with various partitions and features breaking up the space. Garden at rear. Draught ales are unsurprisingly Black Sheep and Landlord.

More of a food orientated pub the plough has a resturant type feel to it but is very nicely decorated and warm and so is a very nice place to sit and have a drink. This was by far the nicest pub to sit and relax in in Fulford but did lack atmosphere as it was very quite.

Beer wise there is a choice of Landlord or Black sheep but these are permanent and a it on the pricey side at £3.50 for Landlord. the beer was in an ok condition but not as nice as other Landlords i had that day.

If in the area it is defiantly worth a stop off but is more of a quite sit and relax place so maybe only good for one or two. not the sort of place to stay all night and the mist expensive pub in Fulford by my reckoning.

The Plough is a really nice looking pub in the middle of the Fulford area of York.
A large part of this pub is set aside for diners but there is still an area for drinkers.
There was only one real on here and this was Black Sheep bitter and this was a fairly decent drink.
