My last visit - on the good side, most of the staff are 10/10, although the deputy manager on duty at the time obviously fobs disgruntled customers off with a load of lies knowing full well they are not likely to revisit after such an appalling experience. On the bad side there were no ales on, we had to wait over an hour for our starter, over 20 minutes queuing at the carvery with no staff present. The carvery was, well, inedible and our three meals were left uneaten. Had words with the duty manager (the above-mentioned) expressing our discontent and he voided our food bill and promised a complimentary meal at a future date. Well, surprise surprise, he was full of bullshit with his promises of a complimentary meal. I had to write two letters of complaint to the head office before anything was done. Let's face it, with such an appalling carvery and such an abysmal experience, this excuse for a restaurant is the last place on earth I'd want to visit again!

A conversion of a Victorian mansion, the exterior appearance is interesting. There has been a conservatory added at the front down a few stairs ,with sofas this is the place to just drink if you dont want to dine.Up some more stairs to a grand entrance with an impressive bar to the left ,two rooms to the right set up for dining and the carvery is behind the bar to the left.Three handpumps with clips for London Pride and GK IPA on display but advised at the bar that "no real ale today" ,yet clips were resolutely not reversed .Oh dear.Carvery was fine and reasonable value but the experience was a little tacky. The pub is close to Whitewebbs public golf course and in an area popular with walkers and horse riders.
