As I walked across the front car park to the Dutch Mill Hotel and Bar I didn’t hold much hope for this being anything other than a hotel bar, but thankfully it is much more pub like than the exterior suggests. The bar, located through a door to the left after the entrance, has a counter on the right wall that faces seating up the left wall. There is also seating under the front windows and at the rear is a large dining area in what looked like an extension. The bar is stocked with standard keg products and the two hand pumps were drawing Deuchars and Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted. I didn’t see any food advertised. During my recent Monday afternoon visit there was some background music playing and the plasma screens located throughout were all off due to no sport on Sky. I found the service to be polite, but I would probably walk past if in the area again.

A Hotel bar, open plan and modern in decoration.
It has the usual tap stuff and two real ales, Bass and Deuchars. The Bass was pretty good.
This is a fair bar to include on a pub crawl.
