Alan Winfield left this review about The Coronation Hotel

The Coronation is an estate type pub that is set in the back streets of the crewton area of Derby.
When i first visited this pub it was an Home Ales tied house with a decent pint of Home bitter on the bar.
On my recent visit the pub seemed pretty much the same, with the decent sized bar to the left, this room is oblong shaped with bench seating facing the bar, there is a pool table to the rear, this room was fairly busy, there is a seperate lounge to the right which looked smarter but not in use on my Wednesday afternoon visit.
There were two unclipped pumps in each room, this left me with the choice of John Smiths smooth crap, which was a poor drink.
It was a shame that there were no real ales on here, but it is nice to see pubs like this still open.
