An attractive 30s-looking build across the dual carriageway from The Red Lion, this is part of the Pizza Kitchen Bar chain, which promulgates such crimes to pubhood as a wooden pizza serving block on the Gents' toilet door with the word 'Dough Boys' on. Greene King have a hand in here somehow, as the option[s] were GK IPA only (Sharp's Doom Bar was reversed). With no suitable go-tos, I fell on my sword and just had a Diet Coke. Open plan inside with the large bar facing front, there's various seating the length and breadth of the space, with part bare floorboard and part garish carpet and a multitude of TV screens eyes left (5 screens mounted next to each on the far left-hand wall). Radio 1-style muzak and lairy Thursday night punters means it's one I'm unlikely to bother returning to.

Large roadside pub with a modern interior that has three distinct eating/drinking areas.The bar area and the one to the right are eating/drinking areas and the one to the left seems to be for diners as the tables are laid for eating.Two real ales were on,London Pride and Rebellion Smugglers with the latter being in very good form.
