Soup Dragon left this review about Rickerscote Arms

A large detached 1930s undressed brick pub, with beer garden and kids play area.

The interior has two rooms. The lounge i didnt really see as there was a pool match going on. The bar had yellow and red walls, with that nicotine stained yellowish colour (dont really know how to describe it) for the crown molded ceiling and higher wall. The seating is red leather perimeter seats and bar stools and there are some sporting based prints on the walls for interest. There is, at one end of the bar, a TV, which wasn't on and a dart board at the other - a central near-partition sort of splits the room. The music was supplied through the jukebox and varied and at a decent level. The service was functional and the clientele locals
Beer; no real ale, or tap stuff, with a drinkable M&B MILD.

It has been 10 year or so since i was last in, as in-laws lived nearby - and although the decor has been touched up, it hasn't changed a lot. Nothing for a real ale drinker, one for the locals, i think.
