Soup Dragon left this review about Catacol Bay Hotel

A detached hotel in white rendered stone, with dormer windows and integral bar area, with a beer garden to the side that includes a kid's play area.

The interior has two rooms that are used for the pub element. To the right on entry there is a games room, which also seems to double as a breakfast room maybe. It is in white with chocolate upper walls and moulded ceiling. There is a pool table and a few maps on the walls. To the left there is the bar/dining area. It is in white with a nice stone fireplace and partially set out with dining tables. The walls were decorated with mirrors and prints. There was a TV (not on) and general music in the background. The service was really friendly and they offer a general menu which seemed decent enough, but the Soupettes just snacked on some cheesy chips. There was nobody esle in at my visit. Mrs Soup gave a big thumbs-up for the pot of tea!

Beer; tap stuff with a fine Timothy Taylor Landlord and a decent Belhaven Golden Bay on handpull.

It was once in the GBG, but not in the last couple of years, however, it is one of the better family places on the Island, with a couple of real ales for the beer fan - very much worth a visit
