Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Union Arms

Good community pub, with plenty of customers coming in to eat promptly after opening at noon. Being adjacent to a sloping road, you find a slightly split-level arrangement of seating / dining areas on both sides of the central servery. Thwaites Gold and Pretoria from Wigan Brewhouse (just £2.50 but in excellent shape) were available from the various handpumps (and I imagine a wider choice in normal times).

Al Bundy left this review about The Union Arms

A nice multi-roomed pub. There are at least 5 rooms. To the left as you enter is one room, the room to your right is split into 2. There are 2 rear rooms and a beer yard beyond. There were a total of six handpumps with 3 each in the two front rooms. A couple of interesting beers were on today (Two Towns Chief and something Valley Tods Blonde). The beer yard had at least 12 handpumps so I assume they had a beer festival over the August bank holiday. By far your best bet for real ale in Tyldesley.
