A blessed relief after the dirge of Lambourn. Enter through a front patio garden to a two-roomed pub/restaurant, the two rooms separated by an archway. Décor is exposed brick and grey painted walls. Three ales on, good halves of Ramsbury Sun Splash and Two Cocks Roundhead, plus an unsampled Doom Bar. The rear garden contains wild fowl and is child-friendly. Not a traditional country pub but a good little stop nonetheless – the beer was amongst the best of the day.
