Further North is probably the smallest pub i have been in and is not a lot in size between this and the Nutshell in Bury St Edmunds.
The doors were open which made it look a bit bigger that it it,once inside there is a very small room with a small bar on the right side,the seating is normal tables and chairs.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of North Brewing Prototype which went down well,the other beer was Northern Monk Export Porter which the very friendly young woman behind the bar gave me a taster,it was a very nice drink.
There was some decent background music playing.
I found this to be a friendly and pleasant pub to have a drink in.

The “little sister” of the famous but scruffy North Bar in Leeds city centre, one tiny room that manages to fit in a tiled-front counter with three stools and eight cast iron base tables with chairs. There are two handpumps (Roosters and Marble on during my visit), a T-bar for European beers and a dedicated Schneider Wiesse fount, it also stocks a good range of world beers in bottle, a beer menu on each table will assist here. Lighting is provided from about 30 “grannies front room” lamp shaded lights, there is an eclectic collection of photos almost covering one wall, a mirror on most of a second, the front wall is all glass doors and the counter takes up most of the fourth wall although the unisex and disabled toilet, a dark, warm, womb of a place, lurks in the corner behind the plywood door. The “ales” are served in straight sided handle glasses and behind the bar is a rack of pewter mugs with the owners name chalked above. Wonderful.
Revisit of October 2014
As before but the beer was decidedly average and the atmos a bit too compartmentalised for me as a solo drinker. The small table furnishing tends to encourage couples and no interaction. The choice of glassware can be eccentric as well and a quick look at their beer menu shows Stone Arrogant Bastard Bomber (7.2%) at a tasteful £13 a bottle, better value might be Brewdog Everyday Anarchy (10.3%) at £15. Even so don't miss it when in Chapel Allerton.
