E TA left this review about Park Tavern

A friendly local pub away from the Town centre, The Park is set in a good sized Edwardian building in a decent residential area. It's friendly and welcoming, but a bit chaotic. The single large bar is dominated by a pool table and gaming machines, and there is a raised seating area (possibly used as a stage for entertainment in the past) in the large bow window to the front. The pub is very active in local community projects and charities, and has a real local feel to it. There were 3 ales on - I had Caledonian Deuchres, a rare find in these parts. It was reduced in price as none of the locals would drink it - surprising as it was in good condition and obviously well kept. Worth including on a crawl even though it's slightly off the beaten track.
