An 18th Century ale house which has been recently opened out to form a single bar village local. It’s also a popular food destination and noted for its ales. The downside to the food was seeing it served on bits of driftwood rather than plates, clearly a rather naff throwback to the 1990s. It was friendly enough and there was a pleasant atmosphere. Ales on were two from Fine Tuned – Don’t Worry, Be Hoppy and Langport Bitter, plus Palmer’s IPA and Three Daggers Bitter. The beer was in good condition and it was an enjoyable lunch time visit. Worth coming in before getting into Bradford, but it’s advisable to book if you want to eat. Certainly gets Seven Stars from me.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Seven Stars

Attractive pub / restaurant in the local stone. Opened out inside at some stage to leave various seating / dining areas in an overall 'L' shape, and refurbished in a light semi-modern style (and fresh daffodils on the tables, which was a nice touch). All laid up for those eating on a Sunday lunchtime; however, there are also some stools at the bar and a number of tables out front on the patio area. Four handpumps on the counter, dispensing Palmers IPA, Daggers Blonde from Three Daggers, Exmoor Gold and the seasonal Plain Ales Hairy Hooker (£3.60).

Visiting family in village for New Year had a lunch to wipe out the hangover. yes it is done up more modern but there was a cracking log fire, and serveral tables of drinkers, many of them local to the village. Sure there are tables given over to food, but pubs have to survive these days. There were 4 beers on, 6X, Gem, Doom Bar and Festive Totty from Cheddar which was replaced with Yeovil Star Gazer. If all pubs served beer as well as it was here i wouldn't be complaining. Overall excellent food (not cheap) and beer and it was rammed with customers.
