Brainy Pool left this review about Prince William

Looks like the new roof is up now. a timeless old gem of a country pub up on Ashurst Beacon with a traditional feel inside. Food dominated (I couldn’t find a place inside without a number and cutlery) but with a pool table and proper pub feeling to it. It may even attract some regulars from the wider Skem/rural Wigan area. Large beer garden out at the back which was proving popular this early Friday evening. though in reasonable condition, Unicorn remains the only real ale but you might be able to get bottled Old Tom. As an example of a non poncified rural pub serving pub food, i’d recommend a visit as Robinsons will probably ruin it at some point.

Under new tenants since July 2015. Still serving Robinson's real ales together with a hand pull cider (Rosie's Pig) and 4 lagers, Guinness, Strongbow and a wide selection of soft drinks and wine.
